Hallmark Channel will be releasing two queer Christmas films this year.
Hallmark will be showing two LGBTQIA+ films for the holiday season, namely ‘Christmas on Cherry Lane’ and ‘Friends & Family Christmas.’
Jonathan Bennett and Vincent Rodriguez III will be playing as a gay couple in ‘Christmas on Cherry Lane’ which consists of three intertwining stories. They will be joined by Catherin Bell, John Brotherton, Erin Cahill, and James Denton
An official synopsis of the film said: “A young couple preparing to welcome their first child (Brotherton, Cahill); an empty nester (Bell) and her fiance (Denton) ready to start a new chapter; and a couple (Bennet, Rodriguez III) who unexpectedly have the chance to expand their family on Christmas Eve celebrate the holiday as they navigate these turning points in their lives.”
Meanwhile, the lesbian romantic-comedy film ‘Friends & Family Christmas’ will star the queer Canadian actor Ali Liebert and queer ‘Ginny & Georgia’ star Humberly Gonzalez who will be tackling the most beloved trope of all time by gay people: the “fake dating” trope.
