The Hallmark Channel has announced a new gay rom-com ala ‘The Holiday’ starring Luke Macfarlane and Peter Porte titled ‘Notes of Autumn.’
The film follows the story of Leo (Macfarlane), a successful author who is experiencing a tough writer’s block. Feeling pressured to finish the follow-up for his popular and successful books, Leo swaps homes with his best friend, Ellie (played by Ashley Williams). During his stay at Ellie’s house, Leo meets Matt (Porte), who helps him write something new and inspiring.
According to the official synopsis, Leo and Matt’s “newfound friendships turn into something far more meaningful,” just as Ellie simultaneously experiences a similar situation with Sam (played by Marcus Rosner).
Macfarlane was last seen starring in ‘Bros’ and has appeared in the Hallmark Channel movie ‘A Magical Christmas Village.’ Macfarlane and his partner Hig Roberts recently became parents to their first daughter, Tess Eleanor, who was born on June 4 this year.
Porte, on the other hand, made recent appearances on shows like ‘Uncoupled’ and ‘NCIS,’ and also played Dimitri Von Leuschner on ‘Days of Our Lives.’
