WATCH: Chinese Danmei ‘Stay With Me’ Releases A Bonus Happy (?) Ending

As the ‘Stay With Me‘ production releases its merchandise, fans shared some thrilling behind-the-scenes footage and photo stills that haven’t been released in the drama on Weibo and X (formerly Twitter), which includes the talk of the town bonus ending!

It’s been almost two months since Chai Ji Dan’s Stay With Me concluded, but Wu Bi and Su Yu’s story lives on, and fans are still yearning for season 2. Do you still remember the pain of Stay With Me? Let’s recall how it ended because it connects to the unreleased ending (we’re robbed!).

Wu Bi drives Su Yu to an appointment scheduled by Mo Yi, but he notices his brakes are failing and crashes into a truck. Su Yu wakes up to find Wu Bi unconscious, shielded by his body. The truck driver tells Su Yu to place Wu Bi on the floor, but Su Yu refuses. Wu Bi’s watch with Duo Duo illuminates, indicating she is looking for him. Su Yu carries Wu Bi to the ambulance, realizing he can still get hurt. He promises to give everything if Wu Bi survives. While waiting outside the emergency room, he recalls his happy and painful memories of Wu Bi. The doctor comes out and speaks to him…

In the clip above, the doctor informed Su Yu that Wu Bi was out of danger and had been transferred to the ICU. Subsequently, a nurse asked him if he was the patient’s family member and to pay the bill deposit to the cashier. After paying, Su Yu bumped into Mo Yi, Wu Bi’s cousin. He accused him of the person who wanted him dead. Mo Yi didn’t respond; instead, he said, “You will destroy him. No, you already did.” Then, Su Yu replied and promised he wouldn’t leave Wu Bi behind. And this is how the ‘Stay With Me’ concludes.

Official Synopsis: Su Yu, a high school student who lives a simple life with his father, faces a major change when his mother remarries a wealthy man, introducing him to his step-brother Wu Bi. Despite their initial differences—Su Yu is a cold and arrogant top student, while Wu Bi is an unreasonable underachiever—their relationship takes an unexpected turn after an accident. As they gradually warm up to each other, their bond grows stronger. However, when a heated fight arises, their true identities are revealed…
