On September 4, a Weibo user (a Chinese platform similar to X/Twitter) shared a conversation with Patrick Liu, the director of ‘The On1y One,’ who revealed that the script for the sequel is complete. However, the decision to proceed lies with the producers—who will base their decision on fan reception.
This news was further confirmed during an Instagram livestream last September 6, featuring the director, Benjamin Tsang, and other cast members. Unfortunately, Liu Dong Qin could not join the livestream due to a prior work engagement.
