Bad Buddies No More! GMMTV Officially Announces End Of OhmNanon; Fans React

In an official statement from their management at GMMTV, Ohm Pawat and Nanon Korapat, collectively known as OhmNanon, have officially ended their time as screen partners.

This follows the completion of filming of Ohm’s upcoming series with his new screen partner, Leng Thanapon. It would seem that in-line with the upcoming series coming soon, the company would like fans to support instead Ohm’s new pairing rather than waiting for the old one to make a comeback. The statement also clarified that putting an end to the partnership was a mutual decision by the two actors and that they, along with GMMTV, shared the sentiment to announce this decision.

Some fans aren’t happy with this, however. There were already various controversies involving fans of the pairing bringing cutouts of Ohm or Nanon’s faces to the other’s solo events, showing their loyalty to the now-defunct ship. This trend is seemingly continuing, with many of them insisting that they do not want to support Ohm and Nanon’s projects with other people in the replies of GMMTV’s post.

We will only support their double events or double products alone, but we will not accept or support any of their events or products with other people. We are only focused on OhmNanon, and this announcement does not mean that they cannot return together in the future

Other fans have said that GMMTV should have made this announcement sooner so as to prevent incidents such as the aforementioned face cutouts at solo events.

My only question was why now? Shouldn’t this be announced long ago? Is it because kidnap is gonna air soon, therefore there is a need to make an announcement? But this is a old news already…. if it was announcement earlier there wouldn’t be the unessary argument between fans

Some fans have instead taken the opportunity to express gratitude towards the actors for the happy memories they made during their time as fans of the pairing.
