The third movie will bring the beloved series to a close.
‘ギヴン’ (Given) is a Japanese anime created by artist Natsuki Kizu, with the manga first released in 2014. The anime series debuted in the summer of 2019, consisting of 11 episodes. The narrative centers around four main characters and band members—Mafuyu, Uenoyama, Haruki, and Akihiko. The story revolves around Mafuyu Sato and Ritsuka Uenoyama. Mafuyu, eager to learn the guitar, convinces Uenoyama to teach him. Upon hearing Mafuyu’s singing talent, Uenoyama invites him to join his band as the lead singer. This marks the beginning of their journey through music, relationships, grief, and friendship. The third movie is the second part of ‘Given Hiiragi mix’ that premiered on January 27 this year and will mark the show’s finale.
‘Given: To the Sea’ will focus on Mafuyu as he grapples with his feelings for Uenoyama and music while the group receives a major label debut offer. The movie is set to hit Japanese theatres on September 20, 2024.
