Episode 2.
Unintentionally calling Peach’s number, Shin was surprised to hear from him. Despite his reluctance to help Shin, Atom showed up at the cafe the following day. Peach arrived late as well, but everyone was relieved that he made a promise to return. Guy informed Peach that his cake was tough rather than fluffy because he had baked it incorrectly in the kitchen. After glancing at the cake, Shin instructs him to throw it away. When Guy begs him to treat Peach nicely, he simply turns and leaves. Guy encouraged him to consume the cake since it was still edible.
Shin heard Atom say that he is more worn out by people than by his job. When Guy bakes his new pie recipe, Oab asks them to try it. When Peach tasted it first, she declared it to be flawless and sweet. Shin, however, isn’t sure. He suggests that the pie crust be made sweeter because it is too thick. Peach claims that modern consumers are health-conscious and like less sweet treats. Guy is left with the option to believe whichever source he chooses. Additionally, Peach won’t be practicing at their cafe if he truly is talented.
That afternoon, Guy spoke with Peach. He told him that Shin occasionally uses crude language and that he shouldn’t take anything personally. He also said that he was welcome to talk to him at any moment. Peach thanked him and informed him that he had expenses to pay and that he would not be leaving. When Oab and Atom saw how close they were, Oab commented on how nice Peach is, while Atom said they looked well together and that they should be supported. Shin appears to be upset at what he heard throughout their conversation.
Shin interrupted Peach and said he needed assistance baking cakes as the two were heading out for lunch. Guy is taken aback to find Atom at the restaurant since he had assumed that Atom was also assisting Shin at the cafe. Atom describes it as though Shin is putting Peach to hazing. He’s right, too. Even though they have mixers, Shin told Peach to whip an icing with just his hands. He tastes the icing after accidentally getting it on his face and wiping it off. When he did that, Shin was taken aback and used tissues to dab at his face. When the latter touched Peach’s face, he felt something different.
Peach realized that night that his car’s tires were flat. When Shin sees how upset he is, he suggests that perhaps he should get a new car, but he claims that the cost is high and he is not now able to afford it. To his surprise, Shin volunteered to give him a ride. After sending him home, Peach is taken aback when Shin places an order for more of his grandmother’s cakes, but only if he agrees to bake them in the café. The following day, Peach began baking at the cafe, while Shin was just watching him. It is awkward for him to be so close to him. Peach urged him to assist, but all he did was watch him bake.
Once more, they visited the orphanage to deliver cakes. They learned that a small girl was gone from a staff member a moment later. Shin grabs the cake and heads straight to the child. He found her sitting where he had once sat as a child. He sat next to her and spoke with her as though he were an older brother. He advised her to remember that even if it can be nice to be alone occasionally, she still has everyone to look out for her. Watching him tend to the child, Peach smiles. When Peach discovered Shin sitting behind the pool, he took a seat next to him and offered him some cake.
