The much-awaited ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ trailer is out, and as much as it is comically action-packed, it’s a win for the gays with the amount of aggressive — a little too aggressive — flirting we’re seeing!
Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman reprise their roles as the pansexual Deadpool and Wolverine, respectively (and obviously). In this universe, the story picks up with Deadpool living a chill life but is recruited to team up with a variant of Wolverine who somehow failed his team of X-Mean before they were obliterated. As Deadpool tries to convince him, they end up fruitily and flirtatiously fighting (violently, to say the least).
The two then are tasked to fight against Emma Corrin who stars as the villainous Cassandra Nova, a powerful mutant with a rather complicated relationship with Charles Xavier.
For a long time, Reynolds had wanted Jackman to appear in a Deadpool film. While Jackman had decided to retire portraying the character since ‘Logan’ in 2017, the Australian actor eventually took the invitation and decided to return. The comeback is partly unsurprising considering the post-credits scene in ‘Deadpool 2’ where Deadpool tells Logan, “Eventually, you’re going to hang up the claws, and it’s going to make a lot of people very sad. But one day, your old pal Wade is going to ask you to get back in the saddle again. And when he does, say yes.”
