Could this be the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s (MCU) first big gay superhero couple?
Tessa Thompson’s queer superhero character Valkyrie has come back in the new ‘The Marvels’ movie.
‘The Marvels’ which will be shown on November 10 in cinemas will feature Thompson’s Valkyrie, a beloved queer character in the MCU.
In the 2-minute preview released on November 8, fans can see a glimpse of her wearing a grey suit and talking to Captain Marvel played by Brie Larson. “You can stand tall without standing alone,” Valkyrie tells her friend.

While fans have been hoping for Valkyrie and Captain Marvel to get together for years, Marvel has yet to make their dreams come true and has not announced plans for their romantic line.
Fret not though, because it seems like both Larson and Thompson are on board with getting the ship sailing. In 2019, Larson shared a fanart of the two characters on X (formerly known as Twitter) with the caption, “We cute.”
