Episode 1. “Let’s Fall In Love”
The ‘Boys Like Boys‘ participants have finally entered the house in search of love! One by one, they enter the house, with high expectations of who they will meet and if they will be able to find a connection with anybody in the house.
The first to enter is Bobo. He likes outdoor activities, mostly swimming, not hiking. The second is Shih Feng who likes working out and hiking. He also loves good food and is passionate when it comes to love. The third one is Nio who likes to meet people of different cultures. The fourth one is Gino, a Taurus who has a blood type AB, he would love to meet someone cute. Additionally, the rest of the participants enjoyed the dessert he brought from his hometown. The fifth to arrive is Guan Yu who hails from Taitung City and wants to meet someone more mature. Lastly, long-haired Eri entered. He is a Gemini who would like to meet someone who will complement their lives together.
As the handsome bachelors make their way to their rooms (Eri & Bobo as roommates; the rest of the boys in one room), they all go on a random one-on-one date that they choose by fate by choosing a random personal item of each other. Eri chose Nio’s, Bobo chose Shih Feng’s, and Guan Yu chose Gino’s.
Eri and Nio’s date goes well with the conversation flowing naturally. Nio takes photos of the gorgeous Eri as they walk along the nature trail, picking flowers for each other. The same goes for Guan Yu and Gino’s date when they made arts and crafts. They talk like old friends, even joking around each other naturally. Shih Feng and Bobo’s date didn’t really go as well as the other two, with Shih Feng noting that Bobo did not really open up as much. They still enjoyed spending time together (less romantic than others) while becoming tree doctors.
During their date, Nio asked Eri about his pronouns, of which Eri said he was okay with any pronouns. He did note that it used to be an issue for him especially because his ex-boyfriend was very controlling about how he presented himself. Nio shared in the interview that he wishes Eri would have been treated better. Meanwhile, Guan Yu and Gino continued to have a great time together and showcased undeniable chemistry when they went up to write their hopes in the prayer section.
After the individual dates, they all go back to the house where all the gays unravel their thoughts. Gino and Guan Yu continue to stick together, while Shih Feng and Bobo talk to the other boys about how they did not enjoy their dates. During their dinner as a group, one of the topics is about their hobbies, type in their partners, and their sexuality. The typically quiet Bobo says that he likes outdoor activities except diving. He reveals in the interview that he does not talk a lot because he is not used to, having only straight men around him. Shih Feng, on the other hand, shared that he has dated men from the countryside because he prefers that lifestyle better. Eri also revealed that he has had 2 exes, one who was 19 years older than he was. Nio, Guan Yu, and Bobo reveal that they have all dated women and identify as bisexual.
After dinner, the bachelors were asked to give a call to the person they felt interested in. Who piqued their interest on the first day?
