Episode 7
Uno’s first day in the dog cafe finally airs on national television, and CEO Pyo can’t help but get worried while Seong Ju feels amused. Meanwhile, Uno’s dad makes plans to publicize their parental relationship, but his secretary, Pi, suggests that they hear out Uno first, but to no avail.
Eun Young and the team decide to use Uno’s trauma with dogs as part of the show, and they give him a mission to take Deokgu on a walk outside. Although Dae Byeol initially hesitates on letting Uno take on the task, he ultimately lets him go after he finds out that failing a mission will extend an additional day to the latter’s stay in the dog cafe. He helps Uno put on the camera and gives reminders, such as Deokgu being an old dog, which means he is quite sensitive compared to others. He also reminds him to never let go of the leash. The show’s drone follows Uno and Deokgu on a chaotic walk, with the dog taking a poop and Uno cleaning up after him. As the pair reach the road, a car almost hits them, resulting in Uno accidentally letting go of the leash. Daekgu runs in an unknown direction. Uno tries to find Daekgu on his own, but seeing that his efforts are fruitless, he goes back to the dog cafe and nervously tells Dae Byeol about his predicament. Dae Byeol automatically assumes that Uno must have intentionally abandoned Daekgu, offending the latter as it is truly an accident on his side. The two set out to find Daekgu despite Dae Byeol refusing to let Uno go with him; however, Eun Young immediately approaches them and instructs them to wear the outside camera as they find the dog. Although frustrated that the misfortune is being taken advantage of for the show, Uno brings the cameras and follows Dae Byeol, who accidentally left his mobile phone in a hurry.
The evening comes, but they still haven’t found Daekgu, Uno, and Dae Byeol end up in the nearby forest as they continue to call out for the dog. Uno accidentally trips on one of the rocks and sprains himself. Dae Byeol tries to call for help and finally realizes that they don’t have any mobile phones on them. He suggests that they take a rest in the meantime, as he is sure that the team will start looking for them soon. Meanwhile, everyone at the dog cafe is starting to worry, but Eun Young refuses to call the police as she doesn’t want a possible jeopardy on the show. She tells everyone to wait until the following morning, and she becomes aggressive when Jun Hyuk and the others express concern that something bad might happen to Uno and Dae Byeol. She also declares that the public finding out about Uno being missing will be the end of the show, which nobody wants to happen.
Back to Dae Byeol and Uno: the two exchange sincere apologies to each other. Uno apologizes for not being able to take care of Daekgu, while Dae Byeol apologizes for raising a voice against Uno and accusing him of intentionally leaving the dog behind. As the night deepens, the two start to converse in a friendly manner, with Uno sharing about his personal life. He tells Dae Byeol about his mother, who has passed away, and his father, who left them when he was still young. Considered an orphan, Uno grows up with his grandmother in a rural area of Thailand, where he befriends a stray dog in the neighborhood named Gold. Although Uno and Gold didn’t immediately become friends with each other, the former learned how to tame the dog and ended up going everywhere together around the village. However, Gold goes missing one day, and when Uno finally finds him, the dog reacts violently towards him, scaring him for life as the dog he once treated as his only friend suddenly seems to not recognize him. Since then, Uno has become scared of dogs and tries to avoid them as much as possible. Dae Byeol puts his arm around Uno’s shoulder to comfort him; he then tells him that it is possible that Gold has dementia, which also happens to dogs and is normal with their old age. Dae Byeol realizes that Uno is the one who saved Daekgu and brought him to the animal clinic back then, after the latter confesses that seeing Daekgu reminded him of Gold. To maintain their body heat in the freezing weather, the two cling on to each other tightly the whole night.
