Realizing Feelings & Coming to Conclusions in ‘Living With Him’ EP2

Will Natsukawa discover something new with his roommate? Let’s find out in episode 2 of ‘Living With Him‘.

Natsukawa is once again perplexed as to why Kazuhito is single. This was only further emphasized when Kazuhito cooked him a proper breakfast. As the two were sharing breakfast together (like a couple), Natsukawa turned the TV on and the fortune of zodiac signs was on. Natsukawa, the absolute Cancer that he is, finds that his fortune that day is the worst out of all the signs. It was said that his lucky charm for that day was a Mimolette cheese, and although Natsukawa had a hard time pronouncing it, the two still shared a laugh.

They eventually find themselves on campus, with Kazuhito going to class with a friend who happens to be a girl, Yoshida. After class, though, the two run into Natsukawa. Yoshida asked for his number, which startled the two roommates. Kazuhito asked her why she needed to exchange contact numbers with him, but Yoshida reasoned that it was because she wanted to talk with him by himself. As they were arguing about it, Natsukawa suddenly received a phone call from his sister, inviting him to eat together. He mentioned the call to Yoshida and Kazuhito, and Kazuhito offered them to eat at the restaurant where he worked. Yoshida agrees and offers to make the reservation for him, leading her to confirm that the two of them actually work together part-time at the same restaurant. The two reserved a restaurant for Natsukawa and his family, however, Natsukawa’s sister called him later that day to cancel their plan.

Natsukawa arrives at the restaurant by himself, albeit a little hesitant. But Kazuhito was already waiting for him outside, welcoming him in. He sat him down at a table and tells him that he should eat there anyway, regardless. As Natsukawa is pondering about his order, Kazuhito tells him that he actually has a meal in mind and it will be his treat. The thoughtful Kazuhito brings out a salad, garnished with Mimolette cheese – the lucky item for the unlucky Cancer Natsukawa! Kazuhito shows unchanging attention to Natsukawa, which was noticed by Yoshida.

The next day, Kazuhito and his friends (Yoshida and Haruna) find Natsukawa sitting alone. But as Kazuhito was about to sit down with him and his friends, he was suddenly called by their teacher. Kazuhito was hesitant to leave his friends alone with Natsukawa, but his friends were already comfortable talking to Natsukawa alone. The three talked about Kazuhito’s love life or lack thereof. Yoshida also mentioned that he noticed that Kazuhito gave special attention to Natsukawa, which was quite unlike him, especially since he just gave a head pat to Natsukawa before he left.

Yoshida, then, admits that she actually used to date Kazuhito, to Natsukawa’s surprise. Haruna says that rather than them dating, it’s actually that Yoshida stalked him and he just gave in. But she said that it was like Kazuhito seemed to like someone else when she was dating him. She, then, left the two alone after receiving a message. Haruna, then, proclaims to Natsukawa that he doesn’t think Yoshida is the girl that Kazuhito likes. He says that you can just “see” from his face when he likes a person. Natsukawa suddenly thought of those times when Kazuhito made those “faces”. He refused to believe it was him.

But back at home and while cooking, Natsukawa thought of the times when Kazuhito was unbearingly sweet and nice to him. He wanted to test out his theory through skinship, so when Kazuhito arrived, he asked if he could shake his hand. Then realized that friends do that. So he asked him if they could hug. Kazuhito humored him and gave him a hug. Natsukawa thought that it was also a thing that friends do. So, as a last resort, he asked him to give him a kiss.

What would Kazuhito do? Will he outright deny him of this or will this be an indicator of their feelings? And does Natsukawa actually even like Kazuhito?!
