WATCH: ‘Sugar Dog Life’ Reveals Poster, Additional Cast, Trailer & Opening Theme Song Ahead of Premiere

Sakuraba and Amazawa’s love that began with home-cooked meals begin this August 3!

‘Sugar Dog Life’ follows Sakuraba, a college student with a short height and a baby face, who is mistaken for a minor by police officer Amazawa. After nearly booking Sakuraba for being out too late, Amazawa finds something oddly familiar about him, leading to an unusual relationship between the two. The trailer shows Sakuraba and Amazawa’s first encounter, followed by the many times Amazawa visits him at the convenience store to ask for food recommendations. They gradually get closer as Sakuraba begins to make him home-cooked meals. There’s even a snippet of a kiss and the two in bed sweetly holding each other’s hands as they look at each other. The trailer is accompanied by the opening song “Sweets,” performed by SUPERDRAGON, the group of Tanaka Koki who portrays Sakuraba. It’s a dance tune about a sweet love and somehow adds a playful and happy tone to the series.

The official poster for the series has also been revealed, showcasing the warmth of the love between two people connected by home cooking. The poster features Amazawa holding a bowl and gazing affectionately at Sakuraba who is looking up at him with a soft and fond expression. The poster also features some of the food the two will be making and a close-up of the two with a shot of their intertwined hands.
