WATCH: ‘Mr. Mitsuya’s Planned Feeding’ Releases Official Trailer Featuring Theme Songs

The official trailers offer a glimpse into the delicious life of Mitsuya and Ishida beginning on July 25!

‘Mitsuya-sensei no Keikakuteki na Ezuke’ (Mr. Mitsuya’s Planned Feeding), an adaptation from Matsumoto Ayaka’s manga of the same name follows newbie editor Tomoya Ishida, who is tasked with collecting a column from culinary researcher Ayumu Mitsuya after his senior is hospitalized. Surprised by Ayumu’s affable nature and Kyoto dialect, Tomoya is served a simple dish that entices him, leaving him eager for their next encounter.

The two trailers, although only having a few different scenes, evoke different feelings influenced by the music. In the trailers, we see the meeting between Mitsuya and Ishida, along with other characters who will play significant roles in fostering their relationship. At the end of the video, Ishida is confused by the growing feelings he has for Mitsuya. Food truly is the way to a person’s heart! The opening theme song “Frito,” composed and performed by Masayoshi Yamazaki (the actor playing Mitsuya), with its refreshing melody, adds a heartwarming and playful tone to the series. The title also pertains to the name of the dog that will be acting in the series.

Meanwhile, the ending theme song, “Look at Me” was composed and performed by Awaku Moroku feat. Chisa from Misekai. Its sad yet powerful ballad melody matches the gentle style of the ending, along with its touching lyrics.

SYNOPSIS: The “human gourmet love story” begins when Tomoya Ishida, a rookie editor at a women’s magazine who is still unsure of his job environment, is asked by a more experienced colleague to take charge of a regular food column written by an old man named Ayumu Mitsuya. Ishida decides to visit Mitsuya, and upon meeting Mitsuya, he sees him as a charming, witty gentleman with a cute side who can cook a delicious dish. Ishida’s interactions with Mitsuya begin to make the younger editor more comfortable in his job, and he begins to see Mitsuya not just as a work partner, but as something else entirely.

‘Mr. Mitsuya’s Planned Feeding’ is set to premiere on July 26, Friday at 1:39 (GMT+9). Matsumoto Ayaka’s manga ‘Unexpectedly Naughty Fukami’ was previously announced to be adapted into an anime. Please stay tuned to BLTai for more news and updates regarding both of Matsumoto Ayaka’s works.
