While Gu Jing is still sound asleep, Liu Li awakens, cuddles in his arms, and waits for him to wake up. When Gu Jing finally opens his eyes, he remembers glimpses of the previous evening, when he and Liu Li had role-played as people who were getting to know one another while folding origami. Liu Li makes fun of Gu Jing for being wasted the previous evening, ruffling his hair and then joking that he didn’t eat him. Gu Jing teases him back, much to his embarrassment, that he might end up being the one eaten by him instead.
During breakfast, Liu Li asks Gu Jing if he remembers anything from the previous party. He responds that even though he was drunk, he remembered everything that happened at the birthday celebration, including the truth-or-dare game where they asked him which person was his favorite. Furthermore, he recalls agreeing to serve as Liu Li’s inspiration for his third book. In an attempt to hide his shyness, Liu Li responds that although he has never been in a relationship, as a writer, he has a lot of ideas about what it means to be in love. He declares with assurance that he can go with anything Gu Jing suggests they try, including first-hand dating experiences. As Gu Jing is tidying up, Liu Li gets a call from Lai, who immediately makes fun of him for spending the night with the former. Since Gu Jing will only be his reference and not genuinely fall in love with him, Liu Li asks Lai what he thinks about Gu Jing’s dating expertise. Lai tells him that he doesn’t have to wait for Wu Shin to return and encourages him to try experiencing feelings. In addition, he advises him to make the most of what he currently has and that even if he doesn’t end up in love, at least he will have experience that will help him when writing his next book. As they spend the rest of the day together, Gu Jing reads the books Liu Li wrote and asks as to whether he still likes Wu Shin. Liu Li hesitantly replies that he thinks so because it is difficult to forget the three years of admiration and heartache. Gu Jing asks him if it would even be a heartbreak if he never had him in the first place and reassures him that he is not alone and is just waiting for someone to cherish him. Furthermore, he tells Liu Li that in order for him to meet the right person, he needs to think of himself as worthy as well. Liu Li tells him that Gu Jing really is an advertising genius, as he can still sell and say nice words even with the crappiest thing, while he tries not to look embarrassed by their unexpected intimacy. Gu Jing decides that their first date will be to the movies.
