Netflix has released the dramatic official trailer for the Italian gay romance film ‘Nuovo Olimpo.’
The two-and-a-half-minute trailer for the movie has been unveiled featuring Damiano Gavino and Andrea Di Luigi.
The trailer shows Enea (played by Gavino) and Pietro (played by Di Luigi) meeting in their 20s and finding out that they have an electric chemistry. They fall in love even though they live in an era in which discrimination against LGBTQIA+ people was at an all-time high. That, combined with the political turmoil in Italy at the time is the reason why their relationship is cut short. Years pass and Enea and Pietro cross paths with one of them a successful filmmaker now.
The trailer suggests that the story will have two distinct parts, the first showcasing their romance in their youth and the second, showing the filmmaker’s portrayal of their love story in the present.
