‘Nimona’, the queer animated series from Netflix, gets another trailer, and this time, it’s a lot more action-packed with an obvious sprinkle of gay!
‘Nimona’ is an animated fantasy film based on the graphic novel by ND Stevenson of the same title. Stevenson is also the creator of ‘She-Ra and the Princess of Power’. The series will premiere on Netflix on June 30.
Nimona tells the story of a shape-shifting girl who becomes the sidekick of a reluctant supervillain named Ballister Blackheart, a knight framed for a crime he didn’t commit.
In the new trailer, Nimona introduces herself to former knight Ballister as a sidekick who seems to have no choice but to hire her as he runs from the government after being suspected of killing the queen. His archnemesis? Ambrosius Goldenlion with whom he used to share romance prior to Ballister becoming a fugitive! So yes, there is some kind of star-crossed, lovers-to-enemies (and hopefully back-to-lovers) thing going on here!
