Our favorite internet “daddy” and long-time LGBTQ+ ally Pedro Pascal joins another queer movie, this time, in a lesbian road trip film titled ‘Drive-Away Dolls’!
Pascal joins Ethan Coen’s upcoming comedy film cast together with Margaret Qualley, Geraldine Viswanathan, Beanie Feldstein, Colman Domingo, Bill Camp, and Matt Damon.
‘Drive-Away Dolls’ centers on a spontaneous road trip Jamie (Qualley) and Marian (Viswanathan) take to Florida following Jamie’s devastating breakup with her girlfriend. It then becomes a chaotic adventure as they run into a group of criminals, making their supposed happy getaway an awfully perilous one.
Aside from Qualley and Viswanathan’s roles, the other actors’ roles have not been confirmed yet, including Pascal’s. However, ‘Drive-Away Dolls’ is expected to hit theaters on September 22.
‘Drive-Away Dolls’ marks Ethan Coen’s solo directorial debut. He has almost always worked alongside his brother, Joel. Together, they made the films ‘Fargo’, ‘The Big Lebowski’, ‘Barton Fink’, ‘O Brother, Where Art Thou?’, and ‘No Country for Old Men’.
Pascal will also star in a queer Western movie ‘Strange Way of Life’ alongside Ethan Hawke which will premiere at Cannes in May.
