Gaya Sa Pelikula’ Star Paolo Pangilinan Spills Tea On The Series’ Cancellation & Former Co-Stars

Well, this all seems very much like in the movies.

Years after the series ended, ‘Gaya sa Pelikula’ star Paolo Pangilinan is spilling some piping hot tea on why the show’s planned second season was canceled and posting cryptic tweets about his former castmates.

The ‘Two and One’ actor finally broke his silence on the reasons surrounding the series’ cancellation despite the initial news that it was going to push through amidst the writer’s controversy.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on April 25, Thursday, Paolo said that the BL series was canceled for the nth time, and he decided to pursue being a doctor.

“Lots of other things but overall it’s a bullet (or a missile) dodged and I’m happy to hate where I am now!” he wrote.

However, after a slew of rumors resurfaced about his alleged beef with his former co-actors in the series, Paolo posted a thread that spilled more beans on the show and the ship’s tragic fate.

Quoting a now-private post that alleged he’s money-hungry for backing out of the series, Paolo said that he confronted a former cast member for calling him trash but ultimately got no answer. Paolo claimed that he was blamed since he was the loudest and had no filter when it came to speaking his mind.

“I’m done with you all protecting the other one because [he’s] marketable as a straight dreamy guy. I am worth more. If being money-hungry is the worst they can call me, girl, at least I was transparent and real. I stopped medical school for [one] year, and you want me to stop AGAIN, of course, I need to sustain myself, duh?” he said in a series of flaming posts.

Paolo continued to say that not doing the second season stands out as one of the moments he felt most proud of himself.

“I sought f*cking therapy and was literally bitch slapped but the management sided with him with deleted CCTV footage, now get that,” he wrote about a co-star that he did not name. Some fans put two and two together and claimed that Paolo was probably referring to his previous onscreen partner, Ian Pangilinan.

Paolo added that while the production of the new season was crumbling to pieces, he made it up for everyone cast in the second season. The actor said that he planned to involve one directing in a music video and even helped another get cast in a different project while preparing to return to medical school.

None of the former cast or crew has responded to his statements as of this writing.
