BLTai’s Top Five Of The Most Iconic BL Soundtracks Ever

Top BL Soundtracks

It’s been said that listening to a series can be just as good as watching one. A good soundtrack can carry scenes to different heights and some of our favorite BL series are no strangers to some impressive songs that are memorable and emotional.

In making this list, we generally favored which songs trended or were well-loved among a lot of BL fans. If your favorite song did not make it to this ranking, don’t come for us!

Without further ado, here is BLTai’s list of the most iconic BL soundtracks!

  1. “Romantic Devil” by Coldin’ from ‘Semantic Error’

Starting off strong, we have “Romantic Devil” from arguably THE BL series of 2022, ‘Semantic Error.’  This song is so good that it surpassed 100k streams on Spotify less than a month after its release. Not only that but it was also Coldin’s most popular song, further demonstrating ‘Semantic Error’s popularity. Trust us, this banger will get stuck in your head!

  1. “Hook” by Gemini Norawit from ‘My School President’

‘My School President’ was bound to make it to this list with it being a series about music and bands. It was only a question of which song would be picked and we ultimately decided that “Hook” by Gemini Norawit deserves this. It’s bright. It’s poppy. Its lyrics incorporate titles of famous Thai love songs and it reminds you of the budding of a young love in the most saccharine sweet way. Plus, a TikTok challenge was born from this song! That’s legendary status, if you ask us.

    1. “Kilometer Zero” by Ian Pangilinan from ‘Gaya sa Pelikula’

We don’t think that it can be argued that ‘Gaya Sa Pelikula’ has some of the best soundtracks in any BL series across the globe and ‘Kilometer Zero’ is just that one song that tugs at your heartstrings and leaves you bawling. You know what’s even more impressive about this is that it’s performed by one of its lead actors, Ian Pangilinan. Talk about talented.

But it’s not just the vocals that sold it for us. It’s also the lyrics that talks about goodbyes and getting lost but ultimately finding someone as your resting place, your point of origin, your home. God, we are getting chills just talking about how beautiful and magnificent this song is. God-tier. Chef’s kiss.

  1. Spark by A.C.E. from Light On Me

“Spark” is a gem from the K-pop group A.C.E. and we all remember how insanely popular ‘Light On Me’ was in 2021 to the point that it was featured in Teen Vogue’s best BL dramas of 2021 list. And a masterpiece series deserves a masterful soundtrack which is what “Spark” is. A.C.E. delivered some good vocals and the song never fails to stir something in your gut. It really reminds you of that intense, nerve-wracking moment when a new romance is taking over someone’s body— a spark. You know how people say “they did it for the gays?” Well, A.C.E. quite literally did this song for their queer fans as confirmed by their leader, Jun, in an interview.

There are no words to describe how good this song is. None. Zero. Zilch. And if anybody disagrees with how high this is in our ranking, you will be smote by the BL gods, please do know that.

  1.  “Stuck on You” by Max Jenmana from ‘2gether: The Series’

Finally, THE representative BL soundtrack of all time. Come on now, don’t even pretend this isn’t the most popular and well-loved BL opening of them all. It may not be the most viewed BL theme song on YouTube at 17 million views but one can’t argue that this is a crowd favorite!

The intro never fails to take you to the early days of the pandemic when everybody had nothing to do and so, they decided to check out these two gorgeous dudes with an electric chemistry and ended up falling down the BL rabbit hole. This cute song literally helped everyone to hold it together when the world was in shambles. Anybody who is or was into BL will be able to recognize this song just from the guitar’s opening alone! We have to call it what it is: ICONIC!

That’s it for our list of the most iconic BL soundtracks of all time. Do you agree with our ranking? Any personal favorites that failed to make it to our list? Tell us in the comments section below or talk to us on X!
