Becky & Badette starring Filipino comedy household names Pokwang and Eugene Domingo– a film about two best friends who accidentally go viral by making up stories about one of their group mates at their high school reunion– is now available for streaming on Netflix!
While the film received promising receives for its leads’ impeccable comedic timing, color scheme, and emulation of beloved foreign film classics on its first run during the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF), a resurgence of popularity is being seen on X (formerly Twitter)!

In this tweet posted by user @rieeese, she expressed her astonishment in discovering that the film is about two best friends who started fake dating where one actually fell in love with the other, dubbing it as ‘the most lesbian film the Philippines has ever produced’.
