Now more than halfway through the series, Min and Q’s romance has progressed, though it’s clear they still have lots of challenges to face along the way. Let’s take a look at the myriad of issues they’ll have to get through to see whether their love will make it out alive in episodes 7 and 8 of ‘Kidnap‘!
Episode 7 – Too Good To Be True?
Q was asked by his father to flee to Vancouver for his own safety following the many dangerous situations he’s found himself in as of late. However, driven by a mixture of rebellion against his father and the nonstop beating of his heart for Min, he decides to stay in Bangkok. With Q’s necklace around Min’s neck, Q invites his love to experience what it’s like to be him for a day, taking him to an assortment of all his usual spots for a romantic date. Afterward, Q opens up to Min about how, even though he feels lonely at times, he still avoids letting others in due to his tendency to love so intensely that the risk of losing someone scares him. Things are different now, though, with Q, the three of them, along with Mhen, are like a family to him. The two renew their commitment to stay together and share lovingly chaste kisses.
The plot’s focus then shifts to the ongoing case between Yada and Kacha. A very frustrated Yada is seen at her restaurant, clearly planning something devious. It’s revealed that undercover officers have been placed at Min’s residence, which gives Min enough of a sense of security to leave Q and Mhen while he heads to his stuntman job. At the same time, Yada invites Kacha to join her on the way to the court in her van. This quickly takes a troublesome turn when it’s revealed that Yada’s men have already incapacitated the officers sent to watch over Q, including the undercover Suea. This is Yada’s attempt at blackmail: claim that the evidence against her has been falsified and she’ll spare Q’s life. Min sees what’s going on back at home through the camera he installed and rushes back to help Q and Mhen.
At Q’s first suspicion of danger, he hid Mhen in the bathroom upstairs while he tried to fight off the intruders, taking quite a beating while doing so. Thankfully, Min arrives right on time to save him, and Suea shows up to save them as well. Meanwhile, in the courtroom, Kacha refuses to give in to Yada’s demands, instead presenting evidence of her ordering the killing of Phum, the father of the young man Yada framed in the drug case.
Luckily, Q recovers decently well at the hospital, much to everyone’s delight. Kacha, however, has a talk with Min about everyone’s safety if Q stays in Bangkok. As much as Min doesn’t want it to be true, he comes to the conclusion that it would be best for Q to go to Vancouver. When he drops Q off back at his home, he tells him the truth, officially ending things as the two break down in tears. On the day of his flight, though, Q decided he had other plans, instead heading to Min’s house only to find it empty since Min had finally sold the place. The camera was left behind, though, so Min had his heart broken once again by his view of Q crying on the floor of his old home.
