OurSkyy 2 X Star In My Mind Episode 1: A Year Later

The Star In My Mind entry to the OurSkyy 2 anthology begins with a compilation of scenes from the original series with narration by Joong Archen Aydin’s character Khabkluen.

Here, we get a glimpse into how the happy relationship between Kluen and Daonuea, played by Dunk Natachai Boonprasert, has progressed since we last saw them. It is clear right from the start that the love between the two has only grown and continues to flourish.

Next is the return of more familiar characters with Sean, Maitee, and Typhoon all making an appearance. The three of them, alongside Nuea, are hosting their school’s freshy day to welcome all the new students. With the original series taking place at the start of their freshman year, this scene puts into perspective just how much time has passed since then. Kluen soon joins them, along with a quick proclamation that he is Daonuea’s boyfriend to prevent anyone from even considering flirting with him.

The couple flirt a bit more with each other throughout the event, earning them some lighthearted teasing from Maitee and Sean. When a student named Pat gets injured, however, and Kluen is assigned to tend to her, Nuea, Sean, and Maitee overhear her praising Kluen. This prompts Sean and Maitee to see if Nuea would get jealous over this, but he insisted he had nothing to worry about with Kluen. Kluen then shows up on a motorcycle to pick Nuea up for lunch. Now alone, the couple realize that Sean and Maitee’s expectations of jealousy were an opportunity to have some fun.

With Kluen and Nuea back at their own booths, Nuea complains to Sean and Maitee about the way Kluen was smiling at the girl who approached him and how that smile was once reserved for him, with the two of them responding with faces full of shock and concern. Later, once Nuea and Kluen are alone in the car, the two let out soft laughs, revealing that this was all just a prank by them to mess with Sean and Maitee. They agree to continue with the made-up issue between them the next day, but only if Kluen gets to hug Nuea more to make up for the time they’ll be apart the next day.

This is then followed by Nuea complaining that Sean and Maitee backed out of their plans to go to Chiang Mai before coming up with a plan to convince them. Kluen is also seen sketching something as Nuea leaves to take a shower, but we’ll get back to that in the next episode.

The day after, the two continue the prank on Maitee and Sean, with Nuea pretending he slept at the apartment of Fah, his older brother, the night before instead of at Kluen’s place while faking an angry demeanor.

The next scene shows Pat, the same student from the day before, fainting. As Kluen tends to her, her friend Min explains to Typhoon that they had to skip breakfast that day. Typhoon expresses concern for her, suggesting that she eat something before the same happens to her.

Following this, Nuea pretends to be jealous of how Kluen attended to Pat in front of Maitee and Sean. As the two continue their fake argument, Maitee and Sean try to stop them to no avail. Kluen grabs Nuea by the wrist, pulling him away and the two start laughing once they are out of sight. Kluen starts realizing, however, that Nuea has other intentions outside of getting a good laugh out of all this. Before the ulterior motive could be revealed, Min approached them to ask for help as she had developed feelings for Typhoon and she saw that Nuea was friends with him.

Nuea’s intentions later became clear when Sean and Maitee apologize for causing him to feel jealous of Kluen and that they would do anything to make things right, to which Nuea replied that they would have to join the Chiang Mai trip. Typhoon finds them and they invite him to join them as well. The episode ends with Kluen revealing his long-term plan for them to someday have a house by the sea, which he had already begun designing and asks Nuea to join him in planning the house’s appearance.

Kluen and Nuea have certainly come a long way ever since their days of struggling to let each other know how they feel. Next stop is their Chiang Mai trip, in the second episode of OurSkyy 2: Star In My Mind!
