GMMTV Actor Pond Naravit Announces He Is Going Back to School

It is back to school for GMMTV actor Pond Naravit.

In a tweet on Monday, July 31, the 22-year-old actor announced that he will be going back to university to pursue and finish his studies.

Naravit said that he will go back to school early next year. He also shared that in the past 2 years, he had the opportunity to work to collect experiences and earn money for his family but that it is “time to go back to study and get a degree for himself” just as he promised his father.

Naravit initially enrolled at the King Mongkut University of Technology Ladkrabang in the Faculty of Engineering under the program biomedical engineering.

Naravit went on to become an actor shortly after winning the “Go on Girl and Guy Star Search” contest after entering the university. After his win, he was eventually signed with GMMTV. He then went on to play Non in ‘The Gifted: Graduation’ in 2020 as a guest character in the series. His first main role was Mork in the BL show ‘Fish Upon the Sky’ opposite Phuwin Tangsakyuen in 2021.

Naravit bagged the Outstanding Rising Actor award in Ganesha Award for his portrayal of Mork. He also won the Rising Male Actor of the Year and 2nd place as the Popular Male Teenager award at the 2022 Kazz Awards.

In an interview with L’Officiel Thailand, Naravit shared that he has always been interested in acting and performing, especially in high school but waited until after graduating before pursuing a career in the acting industry.

It is unclear whether Naravit will be taking time off to focus on his academics as no announcement has been made yet by the actor’s agency, GMMTV.
