Memory Loss Was Untrue in ‘Kiseki: Dear To Me’ Episode 10

Everyone gave up something for each other. To defend the people they loved, Ai Di and Zong Yi entered prison. After four years, nothing remains the same. Since part of the memories are gone, will they be able to rekindle their romance? Discover more in the tenth installment of Kiseki: Dear to Me.

Episode 10.

Zong Yi opened his bakery with the help of his sister. And his best seller is his strawberry cake, which he named ‘Jhe Reui’s favorite’. While Chen Yi still can’t get over what happened in the past with him and Ai Di, the moment one of his men calls him and tells him that Ai Di is in trouble, he goes to him immediately. Ai Di went to a bar to celebrate his freedom. There he met a random guy, and when the guy tried to take advantage of him, Chen Yi came in and pulled him closer to him. He asks Ai Di to go home with him, but the latter refuses, so he orders everyone in the club to leave immediately. Chen Yi pulled him closer after all the people left the club. He tried to kiss him, but the latter refused.

Chen Yi told him that even though they had been friends since childhood, he just realized how little he knew about him. He asks him if the man is his type because he let him hold him, but he says the man is drunk, so he just mistook him for his lover. Ai Di felt so annoyed, so he asked him to forget what happened to them that night four years ago. Chen Yi asks him why he went to prison with Zong Yi, and he says that’s because he is his friend and he knew someone would hurt him, so he wants to help him. He was also able to find out that his attacker was from the Fan family. It’s Fan Jia Hong, Jhe Reui’s uncle.

Ai Di is surprised when the latter asks him if he went to prison to cover up for him. Ai Di felt annoyed and told him that it’s been four years since the incident was resolved, so there’s no point in bringing it up again, but the latter says that some issues haven’t been resolved. People associated with Zhang Teng have been disrupting their business lately, so ask for his help. Without any hesitation, Ai Di agrees. And when he walks away, Chen Yi holds his hand and says that he wants him to personally call him because he only trusts him. Ai Di agrees and walks away. At the cafe, a customer notices that Zong Yi only made strawberry cake that day. So he told her that it was a strawberry day.

Ai Di stops by Zong Yin’s bakeshop. After serving a four-year prison sentence, the two grew close to one another. Ai Di informed him that Chen Yi was occasionally bothered by Zhang Teng’s gang because they were still upset about what happened four years ago. He tells him, however, that Chen Yi has already dispatched a guard to safeguard his family. Although Zong Yi claims he wishes to forget everything, he was told by Ai Di that his injuries only affected his present memories. Zong Yi says he doesn’t want to forget Jhe Reui and that he still has hope that he will remember him and return, as he shows him his notebook in which he recorded everything about him.

Ai Di accidentally saw Jhe Reui in the building where he came for a delivery. Jhe Reui looks at him like he never forgets everything about him, but when his friend asks him if he knows Zong Yi, he says no. Zong Yi apologizes and says that he just mistook him for someone else. When the two left, the latter wrote in his diary that he met Jhe Reui that day and still doesn’t remember him. Ai Di went to their old hideout. He patiently waited for Chen Yi until he fell asleep. Chen Yi went back later that night and saw him sleeping on the couch. The man suddenly woke up when he tried to put him in bed. Ai Di says that he smelled blood when he got closer to him, and he saw that Chen Yi had a minor injury.

Ai Di moves away and tells him that he came to inform him that the Dragon Gang has entirely wiped out Zhang Teng’s underlings, and it should be his relatives that cause trouble. Chen Yi doesn’t speak, and he just looks at him with curiosity in his eyes. Then he asks him why he felt awkward whenever he got close to him, and he’s not like that in the past. Ai Di changed their topic and tried to walk away, but the latter pulled him closer and hugged him. Chen Yi carried him and threw him on the bed. He kissed him, but Ai Di stopped him. He tried to escape again, but the latter pulled him, hugged him tightly, and said that he would let it happen next time. And before he walks away, Chen Yi says that he finally figured it out and is serious about it.

That night, Jhe Reui went to Zong Yi’s house with his friend. The truth is, Jhe Reui remembers Zong Yi. He will never forget him. His friend told him that he should get out of the car and meet him. Because Zong Yi doesn’t blame him. The shop he has opened is proof that he is waiting for him. But still, Jhe Reui feels guilty for ruining his life. And in the end, they both agreed to seek revenge for Zong Yi and his family. The next day, Ai Di went to Zong Yi’s bakeshop so he could talk about what happened with Chen Yi and stop his confusion. He was surprised to see Zong Yi’s old classmate working at his cafe. They went to the building again to deliver, and they saw Jhe Reui again. Zong Yi stops Ai Di from looking, but little did they know, Jhe Reui saw them.

Because they are traveling to Taichung the following day, Jhe Reui’s partner shows him the advertisements for Zong Yi’s bakery and asks whether he truly doesn’t want to see him. However, he doesn’t respond and instead simply leaves. That evening, someone sends Zong Yi a message claiming that Jhe Reui’s claim of memory loss is untrue and instructing him to meet him at the hotel. To the hotel, Zong Yi went. When Zong Yi presses the hotel room doorbell at the end of the episode, the door opens, surprising him.

Zong Yi and Ai Di are attempting to move on with their lives, but the ghosts of their past relationship continue to follow them. In the end, Chen Yi tells Ai Di how he feels. Then Jhe Reui’s fake memory loss is finally revealed. He did it on purpose to protect Zong Yi, of course. But will the sacrifice be worthwhile?
