Zong Yi permitted Jhe Reui to return to his life after their surprise encounter in class, despite his confusion. As they both suppress their emotions, Chen Yi and Ai Di’s miscommunication persists. Episode 5.
Jhe Ruei pulled Zong Yi, so the latter ended up on top of him. They heard someone enter the place, so Zong Yi got up, and they were shocked to see a drunk Ai Di coming over to them. Jhe Ruei is shocked that his friend knows that he was there, and Zong Yi feels that he met Ai Di before. And then he remembered that the latter had bought cake at their cafe before. Jhe Reui comforts his friend, and Zong Yi serves them food and drinks and leaves them alone to study. As the two continue drinking, Zong Yi can’t focus on studying because he sees them having a good conversation. A moment later, Ai Di fell asleep, and when they tried to help him get up, Chen Yi grabbed his hand.
Again, Jhe Reui is surprised that his friends know his whereabouts. When he asks the latter how they know where he is, he says they have ways to find him. Chen Yi carries Ai Di, and before leaving, Jhe Reui asks him what he feels about Ai Di, and he says he thinks of him as a good friend. And when he asked him what he felt about their boss, he didn’t answer, so he told him that love and admiration are different. Zong Yi told Jhe Reui that he feels that Chen Yi loves Ai Di because he holds him dearly. He also asks him why he pretends to be a teacher at their school, and the latter says that he doesn’t want to lie to him, but he can’t tell him everything at the moment, and he promises that when the time is right, he will tell him the truth.
Chen Yi puts Ai Di in the car, and while looking at his friend, he seems to be unable to forget what Jhe Reui told him earlier. And when he thought that he was sleeping, he asked Ai Di not to make him worry about him, and little did he know, that Ai Di was awake. The next day, Zong Yi’s friend noticed that he was in a good mood, and he said that his cat had returned. Someone sent him a letter, so he went to talk to the sender. The sender says she has a job offer for him, but the truth is, she wants him to be his girlfriend. She also says that being his girlfriend will benefit him because her mom is the president of the parent’s committee.
The girl promises to pay him, so he may consider it a gig similar to how he sells his notes. Zong Yi was offended by her offer, so he declined it and left. Jhe Reui overheard everything and teased him, but he got angry and told him that no one had the right to belittle him despite his poverty. Zang Teng was being stalked by the gang. When they discovered where he was hiding, conflict broke out. Zang Teng was captured by Ai Di, but when he tried to execute him, Chen Yi stopped him, allowing the man to escape. When Chen Yi revealed that the boss wanted them to catch Zang Teng alive, they quarreled.
