Ba Da’s former boss and ex-boyfriend talks to the article writer who wrote bad information about Ba Da’s restaurant. It seems that the two know each other and Min Sang gave him a story about Ba Da and his restaurant. But the writer wrote a different story. Ba Da’s ex wanted it to be corrected but the latter refused. The man got angry but the writer warned him that if he continued acting that way, his reputation as a “Prince of the restaurant business” would be jeopardized. A few moments later, Tommy also went to the writer’s office and asked the writer to correct his article.

Tommy brought Udon noodles for the writer to taste. He continuously asks the writer to correct the article but the latter says it can’t be done. Tommy admitted that all the Instagram stories were made by him and it was all a misunderstanding. Even his ex vouch for Ba Da saying he is a good person. Both Tommy and Min Sang say that Ba Da is a very good chef and maybe he is shy but he’s a good person. So the writer told them that he will think if he will correct the article. He also asks why they are so supportive of him, and Tommy says that he is his partner.

The next day, the writer corrected his article and praised the restaurant because of the good food and good service. The two kids also confessed that they are the ones who broke the soy sauce jar. The next day, Ba Da opened the restaurant but suddenly remembered what So Young said to her so he decided to close the shop to find Tommy. He went to a place near the beach but he didn’t see Tommy anywhere so he asked an old lady if he saw him there. The granny told him that he went to the beach.

Ba Da breaks down at the shore when he sees the notebook that belongs to Tommy. And suddenly, Tommy showed up. He asks where he went and why he didn’t answer his phone. But Tommy didn’t get the chance to answer because Ba Da hugged him and told him he was sorry. And before the day ends, while the sun is setting and with the sound of the waves on the ocean, the two share their first kiss.

After their wonderful night, the two woke up beside each other. Tommy can’t stop looking at Ba Da’s wonderful face. They opened the shop and as usual, they have many customers. Ba Da also made a new aged soy sauce. Ba Da decided to join the competition even though Tommy told he didn’t have to. He says that if they win the contest, they will move to a better place. Tommy gets encouraged so he decided to help Ba Da and he also confessed that he is a Gangwon-do native.

They went to a wet market to shop for the ingredients of their udon. Ba Da taught him the best ingredients while Tommy brought him to a Kalguk-su shop where they enjoyed their lunch. Later that night, while Ba Da is practicing for the contest, Tommy complains that he’s sleeping alone for three days. Shy Ba Da stayed in the kitchen while Tommy went to bed alone.

At midnight, Ba Da cooked udon for Tommy to taste. He taught him how to properly eat udon noodles. A music jam night was held outside their shop. Tommy enjoyed the music. He imagined performing again on stage. The next day, Tommy gave Ba Da a good-luck kiss before heading to the competition. He patiently waited in the lobby. While waiting, he decided to write a song with the title Ocean Likes Me.

Finally, Ba Da’s hard work pays off! He won the GangWon Food contest. They posted the article outside the shop. They gained more customers after Ba Da won the competition. They closed the shop that night and Ba Da brought him to a beautiful place. Finally, they have a new and bigger place to start their French restaurant.

The next day, Tommy can’t stop thinking about something. So he decided to show something on Ba Da. They went to the beach again where they met the old woman Ba Da met when he was looking for Tommy. When they reach the beach, Tommy shows him the chair near the shore. At that moment, Tommy finally told him his story. That there was an abandoned piano there. It was like a treasure to him and that’s the reason why he started music.

Tommy sang a beautiful song, reminiscing his past. He told him that for once, his world revolves around music and he focuses on music only. He thought his dreams would come true but the dream has ended. Tommy continued singing until he confessed to Ba Da that he really gave up on his dreams until he met him. He witnessed how passionate he is in achieving his dreams so he got inspired to make music again. Ba Da hugged him and assured him that he will be by his side no matter what.

Ba Da wakes up with no one else besides him. He opens the restaurant alone and reminds himself that he can do things even if Tommy is not there to help him. The episode ended with Ba Da rating his own udon masterpiece.

The next day, Ba Da still struggles with not having Tommy assist him in the restaurant. Min Sang, his ex-partner, came in to talk to him. He told him that he had the winning menu and he offered to help him expand his business for real. Min Sang apologizes to him for what he has done to him in the past. Min Sang asks him to be a partner again and he also promised that he will treat him better but the latter refused. Ba Da told him that he wanted to take a rest but the latter knows that he’s being like that because of Tommy.

Ba Da promised Min sang that he will talk to him again once the winter ended and spring comes. That night, Ba Da cried hard admitting to himself that he misses Tommy so much. The next day, So Young came to the shop to give his goodbye gift to him. Ba Da formally bid goodbye to So Young, who was once his landlord but eventually became his good friend.

Ba Da was listening to the radio while checking everything when the DJ played Tommy’s song. He turned off the radio eventually and left the shop.

A year later, Ba Da went back to his old shop. The shop is still empty. He called So Young to inform his arrival. The two friends were happy to see each other again. Ba Da opened his udon shop again and while he was cleaning, Tommy showed up. Ba Da can’t hide his tears after seeing his old partner. The two sat on their favorite spot on the beach and talked about how they missed each other and they kissed at the ocean that holds so many memories for them.

Writer’s Thoughts:
