As the two walk Natsukawa’s family down the road to go back home, Natsukawa’s mother talks to her son for a bit and asks him if there is anything wrong. Natsukawa was puzzled since he thought he hid his worries well (very oldest sibling of him!). His mother, then, said that he used to cook tonkatsu whenever he had something troubling his mind. Natsukawa realized that it might be true, but reassured his mom that everything was fine.
As the two walk back home, Natsukawa confesses to Kazuhito that when he asked him to kiss him earlier, it was not actually a joke. It was just that he thought that Kazuhito had feelings for him, and he wanted to know if what he thought of was true. Kazuhito also clarified that it’s not that he does not want to kiss him, it’s that he can’t kiss him. He, then, confesses that he has actual romantic feelings for him and it’s that he does not want to force him into anything. He also said that he’s not waiting for any answer, but he just wants him to know (even though the circumstance they’re in right now was not really in his plan). Kazuhito started walking back, and Natsukawa ran toward him saying that he didn’t know his feelings right now but he just really liked living with him. Kazuhito said that he does not want to make things uncomfortable with him and that if he no longer wants to live with him, he should let him know.
Once back home, Natsukawa asked if there was anything else Kazuhito wanted him to do other than kiss. Kazuhito was surprised by his asking, and Natsukawa said that he knew that holding on to those feelings was probably hard, so he wanted to do something for Kazuhito. He, then, asked if they could have a sleepover.
The two shopped for snacks in the convenience store, fully living in their domesticity. Once back at home in Natsukawa’s bedroom, the two played a game they used to play when they were kids, eating snacks, and everything they did in a sleepover when they were younger. After enjoying a fun time together, Kazuhito finished cleaning up. He finds Natsukawa asleep in his bedroom and squeezes in next to him. He gently caresses his childhood friend’s face and talks to him saying that his feelings were caught and that there was nowhere to escape. Kazuhito remembered when they were having their sleepover back in the day. It was the same day when they watched a scary film and he was scared now that he was alone with Natsukawa, unlike earlier when he was putting a brave face with Natsukawa’s sisters. The young Natsukawa noticed it and gave Kazuhito a hug, saying that his mom said that when you hear a heartbeat, you feel calm.
Now that he is with Natsukawa in the present time, lying next to him, he can’t help but relieve this moment. Natsukawa stirred in his sleep and asked him if he couldn’t sleep. Kazuhito merely stared at him. Natsukawa pulled him to his chest and the two slept that way, with Kazuhito’s heart beating wildly.
Will the two wake up in a very uncomfortable position? What will happen now that Kazuhito’s true feelings are out in the open? Will Natsukawa feel uncomfortable over his childhood friend’s confession or does he already feel the same way but have not yet gotten to the same place Kazuhito has? When will the two realize that they’re actually already husbands with no marriage certificate yet?
