What will you do if you see a beautiful girl in an old film in your school? Will you find out who was behind it? Let’s see what Hikaru, Ryo, and Chika will do in the first episode of ‘My Strawberry Film‘.
Two classmates and friends, Hikaru and Chika, go to an abandoned place in their school to look for “treasures”. Chika says whatever they find, they can sell, to which Hikaru points out that it’s illegal since it’s school property. Despite that, however, the two still look around and Hikaru finds a silver container. They open it and find an old film, and with curiosity, they play to find out what is in it. When they found a film player that could play it, they saw their school in the past… and a beautiful woman! Chika wondered why Hikaru didn’t answer him during a (what they think) jump-scare scene, but Hikaru was too mesmerized with the “treasure” he found in the film. He declares that he seems to have fallen in love with the girl in the film.
The following day, Hikaru comes up to his best friend, Ryo, and tells him that he has a crush. Ryo, the handsome and popular guy, asks him who his crush is (after dodging Hikaru’s questions about what went on with a girl who likes him). Instead of telling Ryo who his crush is, Hikaru takes both him and Chika back to the abandoned room for them to watch the old film. Chika also finally managed to watch the film without being scared and didn’t hold back with how beautiful she thought the girl in the film was. Hikaru agrees while taking photos of the film and saying he wants to get to know the girl. Meanwhile, the visibly annoyed Ryo (who, by the way, kept looking at Hikaru), suggested that if they want to find out who the girl is, they can start by looking through old yearbooks. Their effort seemed to be wasted, however, because although she seems to be an old student of the school, she was not in the old yearbooks.
