Episode 11.
Tsuge cheered for Minato from afar. While Adachi was on his way to attend a 10-day work trip, Kurosawa waited for his messages, but he didn’t receive any. Ever since that night, he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about Adachi’s face. Although he regrets what he said that night, his phrasing doesn’t matter because Adachi always knows what he’s thinking, so he probably felt the selfish rage and jealousy he was feeling, too. Kurosawa sighed as he remembered the frightened look in Adachi’s eyes that night. He then realizes that, even though they’re dating, he has no right to dictate Adachi’s choices. The reason he didn’t dare to talk to him was because he was afraid that he would leave him.
A moment later, he received a letter from Adachi. He says he arrived at Nagasaki, and though he’s not good at words and a text felt too casual, he decided to write a letter. He apologized that he didn’t consult him about the transfer, and at some point, he realized that he began relying on his power too much, and he confessed that he was afraid of being away from him. He says he was sorry for being an anxious coward, while Kurosawa didn’t stop caring for him. But there’s one thing he wanted Kurosawa to believe: Adachi loves him so much that being away from him makes him anxious. He promised that he would talk to him when he got back.
Kurosawa felt touched after reading Adachi’s letter. Adachi is wondering if he has read his letter, as it was his first time telling someone that he loves them in a letter. Tsuge is the one who advised him to write a letter so he wouldn’t have to hear Kurosawa’s thoughts, and it would convey more meaning than text. Adachu smiles as he realizes he finally wrote a love letter after thirty years. Adachi started working that day, and his coworker was amazed at how motivated he was when starting his ideas. Adachi thinks that his motivation was influenced by Kurosawa, and even though they’re apart, he keeps thinking about him.
Tsuge is still thinking about Minato, and as a writer, he decided to turn his unrequited feelings into a novel. But in the end, he failed to find any words to describe Minato. On the other hand, Minato’s group had their first concert. Their manager handed him a gift from Afan, and when he opened it, it was a pair of yellow sneakers that he easily recognized. He ran away fast as soon as their manager described the person who gave it. I can’t help but watch Minato’s debut. While he was walking home, he received a call from the latter, and a moment later, he saw him running fast.
Minato apologized for ignoring Tsuge’s messages. He says that after he failed the final audition, Showta invited him to join his new group. Tsuge congratulated him, but he confessed that he didn’t know how to respond to his ulterior motive, whether it was real or not. He wasn’t sure how he felt about it, so he couldn’t text him. Tsuge wanted to tell him that he liked him, but he couldn’t. As he looked back on the first time they met, he thought he was just a punk delivery man, but it turns out that he fell in love with him. So he just lied to Minato and said that the book he read was modeled after him because he wanted Minato to like him, and he apologized for that.
He confessed that, until now, he thought his feelings would never be reciprocated, even if he fell in love. He resolves his feelings by writing books about the people he fell for. But after meeting Minato, that wasn’t enough for him anymore because no story compares to the real him. Minato was stunned when Tsuge finally confessed his feelings for him. Tsuge apologizes and says that he needs to confess because he doubts they’ll meet again. Minato stops him and says he shouldn’t give up and he shouldn’t resolve it alone. He says that at first, he thought he was just a weird guy, but every time he was about to lose his heart, he always encouraged him.
