After learning the whole story from Yagami, Kazuma rushed to the office, where Ren currently is. Ren returned to the office to pack the rest of his belongings after quitting his job. But the nasty Head Department Sanada also came by the office and began to taunt and threaten Ren by spewing homophobic comments. It was even to the extent that he was about to sexually harass him until Kazuma finally arrived. Kazuma pulled Sanada off of Ren and asked him what he was doing, to which Sanada says that Ren is easy on the sheets. This infuriated Kazuma who tried to hold himself back from hurting Sanada. After trying to calm himself down, Kazuma turned to see if Ren was alright, but he was already gone. Instead, there was his pen which was also a recorder that happened to record everything that Sanada just said earlier. Upon recognizing that his voice was recorded, Sanada still did not back down and gaslighted Kazuma by telling him that the company will be in jeopardy if he releases that voice recording. But Kazuma was firm and said he will never forgive Sanada. He, then, leaves off to run after Ren.
Kazuma finally catches up to Ren, who also trips and falls. Ren clutches onto the last of his pride by telling Kazuma that he will take his life if he comes near him. But Kazuma knows that Ren needs him more than anything, and vice versa. Kazuma tells him that he likes him and apologizes for admitting it too late and for leaving him alone to bear the problems all those years. He goes up to hug him and tells him he will make up to him by protecting him this time. Ren looks at him in awe as Kazuma says that he never wants to be apart from him ever again and that he wants to stay together with him forever. The two childhood friends kiss after Kazuma confesses his love for him.
More revelations unravel, however, when Kazuma’s mother admitted to her friend that when Ren hurt himself 10 years ago, she actually witnessed how he went to Kazuma’s bed to beg him to stay alive and to apologize for falling in love with him. Kazuma’s mother admitted that she wanted to chase him away, but she stopped and felt scared about the intensity of their feelings for each other, especially the day after when Kazuma woke up and the first thing he did was look for Ren. She also admitted that she knew that she took Kazuma with her to the US to keep them away from each other because if they met again, they will never part.
Kazuma’s mother turned out to be right because after learning about the issues and fixing them, the two seem to never part. The morning after the incident with Sanada, the two wake up and talk for a bit. Ren asked Kazuma to take off the bracelet he never took off, saying that he doesn’t need the bracelet anymore (because his dream has come true).
Back at the office, Ren provides the recording to the head of the company. Although it was a piece of solid evidence, the president of the company still reserved doubts about taking action regarding Sanada. In the end, Ren eventually and completely resigned from his work and decided to start a company of his own with Kazuma.
