Will things take a drastic turn now that Shirasaki now knows his true feelings? And who is this new guy? Let’s find out in EP5 of ‘At 2500, In Akasaka‘.
A new guy, Yamase Kazuma, joins in the filming of “Daytime Dreaming”, and already, he’s shaking the already unstable situation between Asami and Shirasaki. After doing a scene with Asami, Yamase runs off to Shirasaki and calls him by his first name “Yuki”, to Asami’s chagrin. Even Shirasaki was surprised that he called him by that when they barely got acquainted for a few days. However, Yamase insists that calling each other by their first names will only make them closer. Shirasaki, however, pointedly does not call him by his first name. Yamase puts his arm over his shoulder as they shoot a scene together, while Asami looks on (looking jealous).
While waiting to shoot a scene together, the four actors sit down in a corner. Yamase asks if they have gotten their roles confused for their real feelings, but Asami says he has not. He, then, puts his arm over Shirasaki’s shoulder and asks if he has, but before he could even reply, Asami “accidentally” knocks over his bottle of water, distracting everyone from the scene. The two main leads were then called for a scene. Shirasaki worries that his real feelings may be conveyed (it has), which creates a good scene, regardless.
It was, of course, an overnight filming and the actors and staff had to stay over at the onsen house. Yamase asked if Shirasaki would like to join him at the onsen, but Shirasaki pointedly rejected him again. As he was settling in his room, he exchanged messages with Asami asking if he can come over. Asami agreed, of course. Shirasaki excitedly goes to the onsen to wash up but ends up staying too long, making him feel lightheaded as he tries to walk over to Asami’s room. However, he ended up in the wrong room, with a shirtless (and wet!) Yamase opened his room to a lightheaded Shirasaki. Asami opened his room and sees Shirasaki being held by Yamase. He goes over and fetches Shirasaki, only telling Yamase that he will take care of Shirasaki. Back at Asami’s room, Shirasaki apologizes to Asami for waiting for a while. He asks him if he was angry, and Asami said he was not. He said that he understood that he only went over to the wrong room by mistake. Asami sits down next to Shirasaki, touches his face and asks if he feels okay. Shirasaki says he does. And before things get any further, someone knocks on his door to say that they should get dinner. The two leave to get dinner.
