A New Guy Ignites Fire & Jealousy in ‘At 2500, In Akasaka’ Episode 5

At 2500 In Akasaka

Will things take a drastic turn now that Shirasaki now knows his true feelings? And who is this new guy? Let’s find out in EP5 of ‘At 2500, In Akasaka‘.

At 25:00 in Akasaka

A new guy, Yamase Kazuma, joins in the filming of “Daytime Dreaming”, and already, he’s shaking the already unstable situation between Asami and Shirasaki. After doing a scene with Asami, Yamase runs off to Shirasaki and calls him by his first name “Yuki”, to Asami’s chagrin. Even Shirasaki was surprised that he called him by that when they barely got acquainted for a few days. However, Yamase insists that calling each other by their first names will only make them closer. Shirasaki, however, pointedly does not call him by his first name. Yamase puts his arm over his shoulder as they shoot a scene together, while Asami looks on (looking jealous).

While waiting to shoot a scene together, the four actors sit down in a corner. Yamase asks if they have gotten their roles confused for their real feelings, but Asami says he has not. He, then, puts his arm over Shirasaki’s shoulder and asks if he has, but before he could even reply, Asami “accidentally” knocks over his bottle of water, distracting everyone from the scene. The two main leads were then called for a scene. Shirasaki worries that his real feelings may be conveyed (it has), which creates a good scene, regardless.

It was, of course, an overnight filming and the actors and staff had to stay over at the onsen house. Yamase asked if Shirasaki would like to join him at the onsen, but Shirasaki pointedly rejected him again. As he was settling in his room, he exchanged messages with Asami asking if he can come over. Asami agreed, of course. Shirasaki excitedly goes to the onsen to wash up but ends up staying too long, making him feel lightheaded as he tries to walk over to Asami’s room. However, he ended up in the wrong room, with a shirtless (and wet!) Yamase opened his room to a lightheaded Shirasaki. Asami opened his room and sees Shirasaki being held by Yamase. He goes over and fetches Shirasaki, only telling Yamase that he will take care of Shirasaki. Back at Asami’s room, Shirasaki apologizes to Asami for waiting for a while. He asks him if he was angry, and Asami said he was not. He said that he understood that he only went over to the wrong room by mistake. Asami sits down next to Shirasaki, touches his face and asks if he feels okay. Shirasaki says he does. And before things get any further, someone knocks on his door to say that they should get dinner. The two leave to get dinner.

The next day, Sakuma noticed that Asami let out a huge sigh, saying that he was “human” after all. He teased him, asking if he was sulking because someone was taking his beloved Shirasaki from him (boy, was he spot on!). Asami denies it, saying that would be impossible.

Yamase, on the other hand, was doing the best he can to get close to Shirasaki. He even goes over to Shirasaki’s room so they can rehearse their intimate scene. He immediately pins him against the wall against Shirasaki’s wishes. In the kiss scene, Shirasaki was fully giving his best in it, much to Asami’s jealousy.

After the kiss scene, Yamase goes over to Asami and asks him what he thought of their kiss scene. Asami says that he thinks the scene was good. Yamase presses on, talking about Shirasaki’s kissing technique, and that he feels something about Asami while doing the scene. This felt too much for Asami so he stands up and turns to leave, only for Yamase to egg him on and say that he is looking forward to his scene with Shirasaki, to which Asami says he should. He crumples the paper cup he is holding and leaves Yamase in the waiting room.

Back at Asami’s room later that night, Asami praises Shirasaki’s scene with Yamase earlier and asks if they rehearsed that scene (he was asking if they rehearsed the kiss). Shirasaki says that they did not. Asami, then, goes over to Asami and asks if he would like to rehearse the kiss scene with him. Shirasaki agrees and the two share a kiss. This passionate kiss transpired in their filming, showing an emotional scene, with Asami’s character’s line staying true to his own feelings saying that he does not want to give him to anyone. Everyone looks on, even Yamase, in awe of how great the scene turned out.

Later that night, Asami goes to the onsen alone and touches his lips, clearly still thinking about Shirasaki’s kiss. In the locker room, he sees Yamase and he praises the kiss scene between the two. Yamase praises him even more, saying that it is incredible of him to not be able to separate his real feelings from his characters. Surprisingly, Asami says that that is probably not the case anymore. He went on to say that he was also confusing his own feelings. Yamase asks if he means that he has feelings for Shirasaki, but Asami says that if that is the case or not, he will not tell Yamase either way.

This secret is not so secret anymore because the topic of their conversation just overheard the whole thing. What will happen in the next episode?
