Thai Actor Prom Theepakorn Kwanboon’s Controversial Guesting on ‘Baddy 3 Friends’

Prom Theepakorn

Prom Theepakorn Kwanboon, who recently played Pat, the drummer of Chinzhilla band on ‘My School President’, recently guested on the YouTube series ‘Baddy 3 Friends’, hosted by Mond Tanutchai Wijitvongtong, Ssing Harit Cheewagaroon, and White Nawat Phumphothingham.

A clip from this guesting went viral as it showed Prom Prom laughing about the time he inappropriately looked at kindergarten students in order to brag about it to his friends.

Trigger warning: mentions of body shaming, bullying, homophobia

Further controversy from the same guesting arose from Prom’s comments about being scared of big breasts because he believed that women with large breasts could kill men with them through suffocation, which fans found to be an inappropriate way to talk about women, describing his comments as a form of body shaming. The clips, as well as a translation uploaded to Twitter by a native Thai speaker, can be found here:

Prom, as well as the official account of ‘Baddy 3 Friends’, have since uploaded apologies, with the ‘Baddy 3 Friends’ account explaining that they have since cut the controversial parts of the episode from the YouTube upload and that they will monitor the content they upload more strictly in the future. Both statements can be found below.

The controversy did not end there, however, when someone claiming to have known Prom in high school coming forward with accusations of Prom having bullied LGBTQ+ students in their school, with some fans uploading translations of the aforementioned accusation. The same person also posted screenshots of Prom trying to contact them through social media after the accusations came out. As of the moment, Prom has yet to issue a statement regarding this.

The issue further grew with an Instagram Story uploaded by Gemini Norawit Titichoenrak, who is currently in Japan with Prom and the rest of the ‘My School President’ cast for a fan meeting. In this now-deleted Instagram story, voices were heard in the background telling Prom to brush the issue off and that the next day, people would find someone else to be mad at, so he should not worry about it anymore and just delete Twitter in the meantime. Fans have speculated that these voices belong to Prom’s manager, as well as fellow ‘My School President’ actor Mark Pakin Kuna-anuvit, though this has yet to be confirmed as their faces were not seen in the clip. This resulted in many BL fans calling out GMMTV’s management as they wanted Prom to take responsibility for his actions rather than ignoring them. The Instagram Story as well as a translation by a fan have been uploaded to Twitter and can be found below.
