Rumors about a lesbian version of the iconic ‘Brokeback Mountain’ surfaced (or resurfaced) last March 29, but unfortunately, as much as we hate to burst everyone’s bubble, the rumors were just rumors with no truth in them.
The hashtag ‘#brokeback2’ trended on X (formerly Twitter) alleging that a lesbian version of the 2005 Western gay film was in the works starring Emma Watson who is said to take Heath Ledger’s role and Ennis Del Mar as Jake Gyllenhaal’s counterpart.
The said rumor first came out eight years ago created by a satirical website called The Portly Gazette in 2016 with a claimed release date of 2017. However, none of the said rumors are based on fact, and, as PinkNews reports, nothing has changed since the rumor first came out.
