Heads up! A new bromance drama is brewing!
Chinese bromance series ‘Night Owl’ will start filming this year with reports saying that Deng Wei and Zhang Linghe will be starring in the lead roles, Xu Wang and Wu Sheng.
The drama is adapted from the censored same-sex novel “The Midnight Owl” by Yan Liang Yu.
An official synopsis of the novel reads, “At midnight, with two owls calling, Xu Wang was involved in a strange world called “Owls”. From then on, his life was divided into two parts: “Reality in the daytime” and “Through the barriers at night”. Here, he and squad leader Wu Sheng were forced to form a team and began a journey of punching through checkpoints across the country. Snow forest, red-eye flight, ancient castle exploration…How can we successfully pass through these exciting levels one after another? What should they do to escape here?”
