In a flashback that occurs before the kidnapping, Lisa directs Shun Yu to give Shang Zhou all of his support as they finish the sales report that has been drastically altered as retaliation for spoiling his blind dates. To put up the most effort, he even tags along with Shang Zhou on his morning runs, where they ran across a possible customer who was interested in trying out the newest sportswear from their online store. Shang Zhou is amazed at how quickly Shun Yu can sales talk to them and teases that he might be hoping for a promotion as soon as now. Days went by as Shun Yu continued to follow Shang Zhou, who continued to remain late at work, causing him to become ill as a result of his body still adjusting to his new schedule and workload. Shun Yu is instructed to take a leave of absence instead by Shang Zhou, who disguises his concern by saying that he might make other employees at the company ill. Shun Yu swears he won’t spread the illness to anyone, especially Shang Zhou, and wears a clinical face mask. Shang Zhou sent Shun Yu home with his driver that afternoon rather than taking him along to the conference. Returning to the final scene of the previous episode, Shun Yu is kidnapped after the driver unintentionally leaves the door open.
Returning to the present, Shang Zhou eagerly awaits any message from Shun Yu, as he was told to do the day before. He inquires with Lisa to see if Shun Yu requested a day off after noticing that his messages to him went unread overnight. Shang Zhou phones his driver and asks whether he was able to deliver Shun Yu directly to his door after receiving confirmation from Lisa that Shun Yu hasn’t been in contact with her either. His driver answered that he couldn’t because the alley was too small for their car, and Shang Zhou cut him off before he could add that he didn’t witness Shun Yu get out of the car firsthand. He then goes on to tell the secretaries to find another way to get in touch with Shun Yu but is cut off when Lisa gets a call from a kidnapper saying he has the President of the company and wants a hundred million. Although they initially thought it was a prank, they are all frightened when they hear Shun Yu’s muffled voice in the background. Using the GPS on his work phone, Shang Zhou locates Shun Yu, and he instructs Lisa to notify the police as he goes to see him. Shang Zhou, who is reminded of the day he was kidnapped as a child, drives off despite the secretaries’ warnings.
