The Endless are here!

Netflix just dropped a short teaser for the second season of LGBTQ inclusive show ‘The Sandman’.

‘The Sandman’ follows Morpheus, the personification of dreams and one of the seven Endless who was imprisoned in an occult ritual in 1916. Dream escapes after being captured for 106 years and journeys to restore order to his realm, the Dreaming.

On May 20, Monday, the series’ official X account released a brief sneak peek of our beloved characters

The teaser reintroduces the members of The Endless we met during season 1, Tom Sturridge as Dream, Kirby as Death, Mason Alexander Park as Desire, and Donna Preston as Despair while providing our first glimpse of Morpheus’ other siblings with the new cast Adrian Lester as Destiny, Esmé Creed-Miles as Delirium, and Barry Sloane as The Prodigal (which definitely excited comic fans).

‘The Sandman’ received its flowers for presenting a world without homophobia, biphobia, or transphobia and its nuanced representation of MANY LGBTQ characters such as the bisexual detective Johanna Constantine (Jenna Coleman), Morpheus’ non-binary sibling, Desire (Mason Alexander Park), and the handsome tooth-eyed homosexual, Corinthian (Boyd Holbrook). The series also boasts of the same-sex relationship of Alex Burgess (Laurie Kynaston), the son of the occult leader who captured Morpheus, and his lover Paul, who catalyzed Dream’s escape.

The series has yet to receive its release date but fans will be pleased to know that the titles of the episodes have been released, namely, “The Song of Orpheus”, “More Devils Than Vast Hell Can Hold”, “Brief Lives”, “Family Blood”, “The Ruler of Hell”, and “Season of Mists”.
