You heard it right! The ‘Dead Boy Detectives’ (or at least one of them anyway) is queer!
This supernatural comic book mystery series based on the endeared DC Comic characters and an expansion of the highly regarded ‘The Sandman’ universe stars Jayden Revri as Charles and George Rexstrew as Edwin— two dead boys who are joined by Crystal Palace played by Kassisus Nelson, Niko portrayed by Yuyu Kitamura and the Night Nurse from Doom Patrol portrayed by Ruth Connel in solving otherwordly crimes!
Without giving away any major spoilers, the show did indeed show how one of the characters came to terms with their bisexuality; in a sit-down interview with Out Magazine during a special event in New York in celebration of the series release, creator and co-showrunner Steve Yockey expressed his insistence to have the show be queer at its core. He believed that representation is important especially when portrayed in a genuine way.
