Heads up, volleyball lovers! Anima Studios has just released the poster for the sapphic movie ‘Rookie.’
‘Rookie’ is about an awkward 6-footer teen who is forced to learn and play volleyball half-heartedly when the Catholic school she transferred to did not have a basketball team but her whole life eventually changes when she meets the team’s star player.
It’s a sapphic love story with sporty themes that is sure to excite sports lovers and all sapphic film enthusiasts across the globe, especially since ‘Rookie’ is directed by Samantha Lee of the award-winning film ‘Baka Bukas’ and ‘Billie and Emma.’
The sapphic film is written by Natts Jadaone and will also star Aya Fernandez, Agot Isidro, and Pat Tingjuy.
While most details of the film are still kept under wraps, it has been confirmed that Filipino star volleyball players Alyssa Valdez, Tots Carlos, and Ara Galang will be making cameo appearances in the film. Up-and-coming superstar player Jelai Gajero is also set to join the movie.
