‘Requiem’: The Unspoken Truth of a Minister’s Daughter

The forbidden love and her reckless decision in ‘Requiem‘, is now streaming on GagaOOLala!

‘Requiem‘ is a 25-minute short film that was released in 2021. It is part of the 2022 Toronto International Women Film Festival’s official selection. The short stars actor from ‘The Last of Us’ Bella Ramsey and Safia Oakley-Green and is directed by Em J. Gilbertson.

Requiem is set in 1605, against the backdrop of the witch trials. It’s a coming-of-age story, following Evelyn as she engages in a game of cat and mouse against her father, Minister Gilbert, in order to be with Mary, the woman she loves.
