Taylor Zakhar Perez has something to say about gossip mongers!
‘Red White & Royal Blue’ had a successful FYC event where the queer rom-com is a contender for the prestigious Emmy Awards. The movie, although was unable to enjoy its success in real-time due to the SAF-AFTRA strike, was finally able to enjoy a fun celebration with the cast, crew, and fans alike. The film was so successful that a sequel is (FINALLY!) in the works, with director Matthew Lopez officially announcing it, to the delight of the fans.
The film’s continuous success extends to its lead actors Taylor Zakhar Perez (who plays FSOTUS Alex Claremont-Diaz) and Nicholas Galitzine (who plays UK Prince Henry Fox). All eyes are especially on these two heartthrobs, especially playing queer men in a very popular novel-turned-film. Nicholas Galitzine’s sexuality was brought up during a recent British GQ interview where he publicly came out to say he currently identifies as “straight”.
Taylor Zakhar Perez came to his co-star’s defense on his own solo interview for Men’s Health where he quoted Cate Blanchett, “We must fight to death to suspend disbelief”. Further, he said, “Nicholas was just asked the other day about his sexuality and I just find it so rude. It’s unprofessional and no one’s business. That’s someone’s personal life.” Zakhar Perez says that he is grateful to be a part of a project where the focus is not only on the love story, but how these characters are so much more than just their sexualities
