The author of the book ‘Red White & Royal Blue’, Casey McQuiston teased fans with some snippets of the original novel draft!

After the huge success of the movie version of ‘Red White & Royal Blue’, Casey McQuiston posted on their Instagram stories that they actually have the first draft of the beloved best-selling novel. They ultimately decided to cut it down to 40k words to create the novel as it is now.

They also uploaded one of the lines that they cut out (which is now one of the most-quoted lines in the RWRB fandom) that says, “His whole life, Alex has been loved fiercely, and loudly, and blazingly, and Henry, Henry has been loved like something beautiful in a museum, maintained meticulously and kept behind glass.”

McQuiston uploaded more revelations regarding the book draft on their Instagram stories:

‘Red White & Royal Blue’ is about Alex Claremont-Diaz, the first son of the United States of America, who does not get along well with Prince Henry of the United Kingdom — until they are forced to become friends to fix a situation that they both did. But as soon as they start spending time with each other, both during events and through text messages/emails, they start to develop feelings toward each other. But will they be able to overcome challenges that go along the way, and most importantly, will the US and UK relations be tainted because of them?

The film adaptation of the best-selling book ‘Red White & Royal Blue’, starring Taylor Zakhar Perez as “Alex” and Nicholas Galitzine as “Prince Henry”, is the number 1 most viewed film on its platform, Amazon Prime.
