Gay historical drama ‘The History of Sound’ finally started filming and the leads look nothing short of gorgeous in their period outfits!
Fresh from starring in the queer movie ‘All of Us Strangers’, Paul Mescal is once again starring in a queer period drama, this time with ‘The Crown’ actor Josh O’Connor! With filming for the drama finally recurring, fans alike get a glimpse of the two men in their period costumes, looking dapper as ever. The two are seen having a laugh as they walk through the street together.
Meanwhile, ‘The History of Sound’ is based on Ben Shattuck’s historical fiction short story of the same title. The book is about the journey of two men named Lionel (Mescal) and David (O’Connor) who meet around a piano, only to spend the summer walking the Main woods collecting folk songs in the shadow of the First World War, and falling in love along the process. Decades later, a woman will discover the wax cylinders that was recorded during that fateful summer, revealing more than just music but secrets and memories that spanned through time.
