‘Heartstopper’ Season 3 is Coming This Fall Season!

Heads up, ‘Heartstopper’ fans! The new season is falling into our laps very soon!

Netflix just announced that the highly-anticipated third season of the popular graphic novel-turned-series ‘Heartstopper’ will be premiering sooner than we expected! The announcement was made by lead stars Kit Connor (who plays Nick Nelson) and Joe Locke (who plays Charlie Spring) in an adorable video during their time filming for episode 8. The scene was the whole gang during Truham’s summer fête, with Charlie being hugged by everyone. Fan speculation has everyone thinking it might be the scene after Charlie’s stint at the rehab.

As creator and scriptwriter Alice Oseman confirms in an interview, this coming season will definitely be darker and more mature. Connor seemingly confirms it as well by (excitedly) saying, “Nick and Charlie… It’s started to get a bit more steamy.” and “The tension is high. It’s like sexual tension, love, we’re all there.”

Meanwhile, graphic novel creator, author, and series scriptwriter Alice Oseman speaks about the upcoming season of their series in an interview, “I’m really excited that we are allowing the tone of the show to mature alongside our beloved characters growing up.” When it comes to what to expect in the season, Oseman continues, “Mental health, sex, university ambitions, and more: Nick, Charlie, and the Heartstopper teens are getting older, learning more about themselves and each other, and experiencing new desires, new fears, and new joys as they approach adulthood.”

The first two seasons of ‘Heartstopper’ are available to stream on Netflix.
