Fans continue to rally to save the queer favorite series ‘Station 19’ from cancellation.

A crowdfunded billboard in Times Square, New York was shown to thousands of onlookers on February 14.

“Here’s our first #SaveStation19 billboard! 🔥 The one-month countdown to season 7 is on, and while we wait, we fight for it not to be the last. Remember to sign and share the petition, and tune in to Station 19 on March 14, at 10/9c!” Station 19 said in a post on their X account on February 14, Wednesday.

The campaign has also reached a new milestone of over 72,000 signatures on their petition and over $12,000 raised through their GoFundMe.

On December 8, 2023, ABC announced that the upcoming seventh season of ‘Station 19’ will be its last which came as a shock to the fans, cast, crew members, and its fan base around the globe.

The queer inclusive series has a huge LGBTQ fanbase due to the popular sapphic coupling of Carina DeLuca (played by Stefania Spampinato) and Maya Bishop (played by Danielle Savre).

It is lauded for having “one of the most diverse casts in network television who play a diverse group of BIPOC characters including many who identify as part of the LGBTQIA+ community.”

“In the upcoming seventh season, Station 19 airs its 100th episode. This is a celebrated landmark for the series committed to public awareness and advocacy. Female characters have faced issues of sexism in the workforce. Multiple character storylines have explored issues of importance to the LGBTQ+ community. Station 19 has also tackled topics related to abuse, sexual assault, women’s reproductive rights, mental health, and grief,” the Change.org petition reads.
