Fans Go Crazy Over Michael Sheen Teasing Queer Romance for ‘Good Omens Season 2’

Although the two characters have been “shipped” for a long time now, Gaiman has actually denied that Aziraphale and Crowley are gay, tweeting that “they’re an angel and a demon, not male humans.” 

The author, however, has confirmed that they are canonically in love with each other, albeit the labels like gay or bi do not quite fit in this instance. Gaiman continued to say that he “wouldn’t exclude the ideas that they are ace, or aromantic, or trans. They are an angel and a demon, not male humans, per the book. Occult/Ethereal beings don’t have sexes, something we tried to reflect in the casting. Whatever Crowley and Aziraphale are, it’s a love story.”

‘Good Omens’ season two premieres on Prime Video on July 28.
