The gays are slaying it, once again!
Queer film ‘Red White & Royal Blue’ and LGBTQ limited series ‘Fellow Travelers’ actors are now officially nominated in the prestigious Emmy Awards! The cast and crew are just as fast to celebrate on their social media.
Although it was noticeable that ‘Fellow Travelers’ was snubbed for the category “Limited or Anthology Series”, however, the lead actors themselves were nominated in their own categories respectively and for the category “Outstanding Writing For A Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie”.
‘Fellow Travelers’ Matt Bomer, who played the head-strong but complicated Hawkins Fuller, got nominated for the category “Lead Actor for Anthology/Limited Series”.
Bomer celebrated on his Instagram account, saying that he was not even aware that the nominations would be out that day and that his husband was the one who informed him of his second official Emmy nomination.

Meanwhile, his co-star Jonathan Bailey, was also nominated for the same series as Timothy Laughlin, the meek turned loud and proud gay activist, for the category “Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series”.
He shares his emotional reaction through Entertainment Weekly, saying:
“Playing Tim Laughlin was the experience of a lifetime, and I will carry him with me always. For this experience to be recognized in this way, and alongside Matt, my ultimate co-pilot, is truly beyond measure. “It is not lost on me that this sort of recognition is rare. I’ve grown up savoring the minimal queer television and film on offer whilst battling problematic media and societal criticism of queer life. I have loved so many award winning dramatic performances of gay characters but for Matt and I to be nominated together as gay actors feels like the sort of progress that would have made the world an easier place to grow up in. For that I am grateful and so unbelievably proud. Thank you to the TV Academy for this opportunity. “I share this with Ron, Matt, Noah, Jelani, Allison, the entire Fellow Travelers family. And of course, with Tim and all the other angels who fought before us.”
