A24’s Oscar-nominated film ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once’ dominated the 14th Dorian Film Awards presented by GALECA: The Society of LGBTQ Entertainment Critics.
The critically-acclaimed absurdist comedy-drama film pulled a sweep, winning Film of the Year, LGBTQ Film of the Year, and Visually Striking Film of the Year. Aside from this, Michelle Yeoh also won the Film Performance of the Year and received the Wilde Artist of the Year, while Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert won the best director and best screenplay honors. Stephanie Hsu, on the other hand, lost the supporting role award to co-star Ke Huy Quan, but was named Rising Star of the Year.

Several other A24 films also won big. ‘Aftersun’ bagged the Unsung Film of the Year, ‘Marcel the Shell with Shoes On’ as Animated Film of the Year, and ‘Pearl’ took the Campiest Flick of the Year.
For the other winners, ‘All the Beauty and the Bloodshed’ bagged the Documentary of the Year and the LGBTQ Documentary of the Year, ‘RRR’ the Non-English Film of the Year, and ‘Tár’ the Film Music of the Year. Alongside Yeoh, singer, rapper, and actress Janelle Monáe also received an honorary award, the GALECA LGBTQIA+ Film Trailblazer Award.
The Dorian Awards, named after Oscar Wilde’s novel ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray,’ are given to both TV and films across a variety of categories, from mainstream to LGBTQ-themed. Its presenter, GALECA, consists of hundreds of professional journalists writing for TV and film from reputable media outlets in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and the UK, with most members identifying themselves as members of the LGBTQ community.
