‘Euphoria’ Actress Hunter Schafer Joins in Anne Hathaway, Michaela Coel’s Lesbian Film ‘Mother Mary’

‘Euphoria’ actress Hunter Schafer is confirmed to join A24’s upcoming lesbian film ‘Mother Mary’ with Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel!

According to Deadline, Schafer will play the role of Hilda, the assistant of Coel’s designer, Sam.

‘Mother Mary’ is an epic melodrama about a fictional pop star (Hathaway) who enters a romantic relationship with a known fashion designer (Coel). ‘Mother Mary’ will be filmed in Germany.

It will be directed by David Lowery, which makes this his third A24 film after ‘The Green Knight’ and ‘A Ghost Story’. He will also pen the story. Daniel Hart will handle the production of the film’s original scores, while Jack Antonoff and Charlie XCX will also write and produce original songs.

As of writing time, there is no confirmed date yet for the release of ‘Mother Mary’.
