Betrayal and Forgiveness Occur in ‘Papa, What Is Love?’ EPs 4-6

Rich started feeling something for his youthful assistant Tupe in earlier episodes. Despite having a large age difference, the two had no trouble connecting. Will Greg, his son, approve of their relationship? Or will he start to feel something for Tupe? Let’s find out in the final three episodes of “Papa, What is Love?“.

Episode 4. Three’s A Crowd.

The first scene of the episode is a flower-filled garden. While making their breakfast, Tupe overhears Greg and Rich arguing. Greg’s dad told him that he was content being with him, even though Greg was irritated that he was dating their young helper. When Rich’s son asked him if he was embarrassed to be dating a young man, Rich responded that there was nothing wrong with it. Greg’s only complaint is that Tupe seems too young to be his father. As Rich explains to him that he doesn’t see anything wrong with their circumstances, they start to argue. The latter says that while he is okay with him being in a relationship, he has no plans to witness him engaging in sexual activity.

While eating breakfast, they were all uncomfortable. Greg mockingly remarked that Tupe dated his father because he needed money in the kitchen. He told him that he couldn’t treat Rich that way and that he denied his accusations. He adds that his father informed him of his pansexuality because he believed he would be more accepting. Moreover, Rich’s father is a decent man, so whether he thinks so or not, he is unable to harm him.

Every day, they continue to act awkwardly. When the two became overly attached while eating, Greg felt uneasy. Greg once experienced cramps while swimming and called his father for help; however, Tupe arrived and saved Greg. His father spoke to him in his bedroom, but he claims he still despises Tupe. He is urged by Rich to give the man a chance. Greg thanked him for saving him the previous day and instructed him to stop calling him “boss” during breakfast the following morning. Tupe was relieved when they finally made amends.

Rich begged them to be respectful before he left because he was going on a business trip. Greg unexpectedly spotted a rat that evening when he entered the kitchen unclothed to get some water. Greg was hit by Tupe, who had slipped on top of him after hearing the loud commotion. When they realized they were naked next to each other, they both gasped.

Episode 5. Greg and Tupe.

The next day, Greg invited Tupe on a date. They went out, had lunch, and enjoyed the mountain views. Their lunch date continues as the day goes by. The two enjoyed their moments together. Tupe thanked him for the wonderful experience, and Greg said he planned all that for him. In return, he wanted her to cook a delicious meal for him. A moment later, Rich called Tupe, but the latter’s phone battery died. That night at the swimming pool, they had an emotional conversation.

Tupe confessed that he had two girlfriends and one boyfriend before. He had a longtime relationship with a guy until the latter went back to their province. On the other hand, Greg explains to him his pansexuality. He says that they believe that sexuality isn’t just about a guy and a girl, and gender equality isn’t just simple. And that they enjoy love and sex, and he’s fine no matter what gender it is as long as he loves them.

As the night wore on, they continued talking. Greg breaks down in tears as he admits how difficult it was for him to lose his mother. He expressed him his admiration for his father for not disclosing his sexual orientation to his mother and for allowing her to pass away peacefully. Tupe, on the other hand, admitted to him that his father had previously mistreated him. When he left them, he was grateful and informed him that he was fortunate to have Rich as his father. because he forced him to encounter genuine love. He therefore vowed not to harm him.

Tupe walked him into his bedroom before saying goodnight. While in his room, Greg can’t help but think of him. When he saw Tupe at his front door, he suddenly kissed him. While having breakfast, Greg admits that he’s falling in love with him. That night, Rich called him, and he suddenly cried. When the latter asks him why, he immediately drops the call. Greg saw him and smiled at him, and a moment later, he ran into him, and they gave each other a passionate kiss.

Episode 6. Love Me, Love Me, Say That You Love Me.

In his bed, Greg awakens by himself. He saw Tupe leaving their home when he came from his room. He claims that he can’t harm Richard, so he is leaving. He cursed at him, and he cursed back, telling him what to tell Rich about what transpired that night. Greg said he never showed regret during any of their sexual encounters. Because he didn’t want to damage Rich, Tupe admits that he was terrified. Tupe says that he would just leave, so they won’t ever see him again as their argument continues. But Greg demands that he confront reality and fight for him.

Greg calls him selfish and tells him that he feels that he loves him more than his dad. Tupe hugged him from the back and told him that he loved them both. Before he leaves, Greg asks him if he loves his father more than him, and Tupe confesses that he loves him so much more, and they kiss passionately. Little did they know that Rich was in front of them. Greg apologizes to his father and begs him to forgive him. When Rich asks him if Tupe loves him, the latter says very much. Rich cried hard when he heard him, but in the end, he gave up on him.

Rich realized that he lacked the confidence to confront Tupe about his true feelings for him. Tupe speaks with Rich that evening to beg for forgiveness. The latter uses a well-known movie quote, and upon realizing how serious he is, he chuckles. He tells him he forgives them and begs him not to harm his son. Greg and Tupe briefed Rich about the new applicants before they left on their trip. Rich has a new candidate who will be hotter than the sun by the time the series comes to a close.

Although Rich’s son and his lover deceived him, he ultimately decided to forgive them. It was demonstrated in the series that some people would always choose peace and love and that, in all cases, blood is thicker than water.
